Client Relationships

The people that make up the businesses and companies we work with are the reason we’re here. We think of ourselves as an extension of a client’s business; when they succeed, we succeed! Our goal is to know our client’s industry, business, customer and goals as well as they do.

So, how do you build strong relationships? It starts with that mentality of treating a client’s business as you would your own. All of the work we do for our clients is held to a standard no lower than we hold the work we do for our own company – actually, even higher! Here are some of the main ideals we hold when it comes to fostering great relationships with everyone your business works with:

COMMUNICATE 🗣…and then communicate about communicating! 🗣🗣🗣

Communication is key; and it is done best when it is efficient, timely, and consistent. No one wants to be “ghosted”, especially someone who has entrusted you with the messaging that comes from their business. Even if you can’t fulfill a request the moment you receive it, let the person asking something of you know that. Over-communicate. Update them on the status of a project or project timelines and keep them in the loop about any problems or hiccups.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

We never lie to our clients or people we work with. People appreciate genuineness and honesty. It might be tempting to overpromise with assurances of tripling numbers and guaranteeing immediate growth in order to convince someone to work with you. However, this overpromising almost always will lead to under-delivering. A business would much rather trust in your honesty in setting achievable goals for their business, and then maybe even feel the excitement of exceeding those goals!

EVERY CLIENT IS A BIG CLIENT

There is no such thing as a “big client” at BrownRice; that’s because every client, no matter the industry or the amount of services you provide for them, is equal in importance when it comes to our focus. Set time aside each week, each day maybe, to brainstorm ideas big and small, strategize in how to meet their goals, and propel them forward with new goals. Ensuring you devote equal time and energy to every business you work with ensures equal success for everyone.
